 On the demand of several industries to increase security and performance of their applications, researcher has started to verify about automatic identification methods. Radio frequency identification (RFID) is one of the Auto-ID methods that works with electromagnetic waves and contains of various hardware and software components. RFID works relying on storing and remotely retrieving data by using of attaching tag to object, animal and person. The reader identifies objects by reading the tags and send information to central controller to processing.
Many have referred to RFID as a replacement technology for barcodes. However, this is simplistic as RFID tags have advanced capabilities that cannot be duplicated with barcodes. Some of the primary benefits of RFID includes: no direct line-of-sight required, multiple simultaneous reads, long read range, data capacities and read/write capabilities, withstanding in harsh condition.
